About Me

I am a fully insured, professional dog walker and holiday care provider. I have years of experience with dogs and dog training and I have a fully qualified City and Guilds Professional Dog Grooming Certificate, this involves studying dog behaviour and how to conduct a 7 point health check. I live on the edge of the south downs in a very spacious home with large, secure gardens.Dogs are my life and my aim is to create an atmosphere where, under my leadership, dogs can thrive, de-stress and get the exercise they really need (not just we WE think they need). My philosophy has always been, a dog is a dog first. They need balanced leadership and to be reminded how to be a dog as nature intended. This includes exercise with ‘the pack’. Each dog in my care will be treated as if they were one of my own (this means love and cuddles). They will also be treated to stimulating games. The Sussex Dog Retreat is a place where dogs can get vigorous exercise, be part of ‘the pack’, and be cared for while owners are on holiday, as one of the family.They can enjoy 9-5 care at the dog crèche whilst owners are at work.I have a deep understanding and instinct for the needs of dogs, and what makes them tick.
